Plus Size Velvet: Fall Fashion Edition!
The leaves are changing and the temperature is dropping which means it’s finally feeling like fall! The changing of the seasons means it’s time to add new plus size fall fashions to your wardrobe and thanks to JCPenney, you don’t have to break the bank doing it!
As soon as I walked into JCPenney, I couldn’t help but notice all of the amazing velvet pieces on the racks! From to , it’s clear that velvet is here to make it’s mark on plus size fashion this season. I filled my cart with velvet goodies and settled on one skirt that I styled with two velvet different tops and a pair of velvet booties. It was a velvet overload of the very best variety.
Velvet is one of those styles that transitions so well from fall to winter. For fall, you can style these pieces with a leather jacket and booties and for winter, add a faux fur coat and knee high boots with tights. I really love how JCPenney offers such a wide variety of high-quality velvet pieces at great price that pair well together. I am a big fan of their Boutique+ line which offers items up to a size 5X or 32. So I’m sure you want to see how I styled velvet for fall, right?!

This pencil skirt is super versatile. This wine color is one of my favorites to wear during fall. The skirt itself is high stretch but the fabric isn’t thin. I’m wearing a 1X. The velvet blouse comes in the blush pink that I got and a black. Although you totally can’t see it in these photos, there’s a really cool split back detail!
Now I have to tell you about this hoodie. I have worn it more times than I’d like to admit since I got it. Like multiple days. It’s THAT comfortable. I wore it during a six-hour car ride. I wore it to lounge around the house. I wore it to the office because it has velvet so I decided that made it business casual. I LOVE this sweatshirt. The velvet top is luxurious and the bottom half feels like a soft felt. I can’t describe any other way but magical. I’m wearing the 2X and it’s available up to a 5X.
Aside view is the best way to take in these booties. They are velvet on top with a gold glitter heel. They couldn’t be more perfect for holiday but they totally work for fall too! I am definitely #obsessed.
