Plus Size Thigh High Wide Calf Boots

My ideal way to style thigh high wide calf boots has not changed since I first wore them. I usually opt to wear either short shorts or go sans pants completely. And this year was no different.

As people have loved to point out to me, these boots don’t come that high up on my thighs. But considering that most boots barely go over my ankle and these do cover the top of my knee cap into my thigh, these are thigh high boots for me goddammit. And also, the term “over the knee wide calf boots” has been used to describe this style and that seems fitting as well for the fact that no one is really truly making thigh high boots for thick thighs YET.

My calves measure 19 inches but my thigh measurement right above my calf is closer to 24 inches. These don’t have zippers but rather a stretch back so you can pull them on. The stretch to these over the knee wide calf boots makes ALL the difference when it comes to covering that additional five inches.

Unfortunately, the store where I found these wide calf thigh high boots has since closed and up until this year, it’s always been a challenge to find any similar styles that I could direct folks to find a pair for themselves. Luckily, there’s a few different options now for wide calf knee high boots and I am happy to share them with you after years of being asked and not having a good answer.
