Speax: Pee Proof Underwear in Sizes 4XL and 5XL

Today, I am tackling a taboo topic: bladder leaks. The solution? Pee proof underwear, of course! One in three women experience bladder leaks and even though it’s not something that personally affects me, I think it’s important for all women to discuss this issue honestly and openly to help remove the stigma. That’s why I teamed up with Speax to share the launch of their n sizes 4XL and 5XL. If you live with bladder leaks, this is sure to be the size inclusive solution you’ve been waiting for!
Similar to its sister brand , Speax provides an alternative to pads that is re-usable, soft, odor-free and stylish for women with bladder leaks. The brand’s goal is to destigmatize women’s bodies and create a new narrative. With the launch of their extended sizes today, Speax’s pee-proof underwear are available in sizes XS-5XL. I couldn’t be happier to see a brand be more inclusive to plus size women while tackling the stigma against women’s bodies.
They have started by releasing the Hi-waist, Hiphugger, and French Cut in 4XL and 5XL. Although the initial launch is for black and beige styles, more colors are coming soon. I choose the Hi-Waist style in black. I am wearing the 4XL. After consulting the size chart, I went based on my measurements rather than the USA jeans size. I found these to be extremely comfortable and the cut hit exactly where I like on my waist. They had a lot of stretch to them.
Without knowing these were underwear for bladder leaks, you wouldn’t guess the dual purpose they serve. I honestly felt sexy in these They are super thin and cut to hug the curves; however, that doesn’t take away from what these undies are can do. There are two levels of absorbency: light and moderate. Light holds up to 6 teaspoons while moderate holds up to 8 teaspoons of liquid.
So how do Speax’s underwear for bladder leaks work exactly? Well, they feature a moisture-wicking layer that quickly absorbs the leak. Another layer absorbs the liquid without becoming bulky. An anti-odor layer keeps you smelling totally fresh. And the final layer is leak-proof and breathable. It prevents your clothes from dampness.

The packaging is modern, discreet and has a minimalist trendy look to it. Bladder leaks affect women of all ages whether it’s while doing jumping jacks at the gym or a new mom who is adjusting to her body’s changes. It’s all OK! This is why Speax exists because it is far more common than society wants us to believe. I have friends who wear pads everyday because of possible bladder leaks and I can’t help but think how much easier pee-proof re-usable panties would be instead!
