Introducing boohooMAN for Big & Tall Plus Babes
As plus size fashion for women and femmes has taken off over the last few years, similar options for plus size masculine folks have been a little slower to grow. Anytime there’s a new option for big & tall men, I want to be sure to give it some shine and when one of my favorite fast fashion retailers boohoo introduced an option for , I knew I had to try it out for myself!
I can’t remember when exactly I started shopping in the men’s section. It was probably in middle school when I started heavily thrifting. I realized that shopping in the men’s plus or big & tall section meant that I have more options and often that things I intended to be oversized, actually would be. As femme as my style is, my closet remains filled with men’s button-downs and jerseys.. I like to use men’s clothing as a way to subvert gender norms and beauty standards for plus babes. I don’t always have to appear hyper-feminine to be beautiful.

Boohoo’s is already pretty robust. From jackets and jeans to shorts and flannels, there’s a little something for every trendy big & tall babe in your life. Pants are available in sizes 38-46 and tops come in sizes XL – XXXXL which makes this a wider size range than their women’s plus size section.
As a petite plus size babe, I knew that pants for big & tall men were probably going to be way too long on me so I focused on tops and outerwear. Boohoo’s big & tall section has a lot of really cute jacket options as well as stylish plus size basics.
I picked out the because I love the lace-up detail on the sleeves and I have definitely been having a hoodie moment lately. Based on the size chart, I am between a men’s XL and XXL on top but my hips definitely contributed to this not being as oversized as I would have liked. Luckily with boohooMAN, I am not at the top of their size range and I could size up for a more oversized look. I think it’s totally cute fitted though, too!
