How To Design Your Own Shoes in Wide and Extended Sizes with Shoes of Prey

Have you ever wondered how to design your own shoes? I know I have! I own more shoes than any other fashiontem and it’s probably safe to say that I have an obsession. I have always dreamed of designing my own shoes and Shoes of Prey gave me the opportunity to my dream gaudy wide width shoes! Shoes of Prey makes you the designer and caters to wide widths and extended sizes with custom made shoes. Use code READYTOSTARE to get a free custom inscription (a $49 value).
Having wide feet makes it difficult to find the shoes I dream about in my size. If I buy shoes online, I often take a risk that they won’t be wide enough to fit. To rectify that, I usually find myself sizing up, hoping for the best and feeling like I compromised on getting what I really wanted. Shoes of Prey takes the compromise out of shoe shopping and caters specifically to a wide range of sizes and widths.

You can completely design your own shoes and personalize them through Shoes of Prey’s interactive website. They offer sizes 2 through 15. You can create styles in narrow, standard, wide and extra-wide. I usually wear a size 9 regular because it’s so rare that I am actually able to find wide shoes in 8.5. I decided to create a pair of wide shoes in a size 8.5. Not to skip to the chase, but they were a perfect fit!

Shoes of Prey allows you to browse the styles that can be customized and narrow down the results based on size and width. Since I knew I needed wide-widths, I browse through those options. They offer mules, boots, booties, sandals, heels, flats and sneakers. SO MANY OPTIONS. I designed my shoe based on the Corvetto style.
Shoes of Prey allows you to customize every single detail. Add a bow on the front or the back of the heel if you want! You can make the shoe a slingback or add an ankle strap. You can change the toe type. I added the pointed cap so I could add an another pop of color. You can change heel height and style to be anything from a slim stiletto or wedge to a block heel or flat. I picked the angled block heel in a 3.9 inch height. I have seen this style before but never in wide width. I was excited to try it!

For the design itself, I immediately knew I wanted to use an animal print. You can pick the colors and materials for the upper area, top cap, heel, sole, lining, and in-sole trim. I picked a different color for all of them. I knew if I was going to design my own shoes then I was going to make sure they were like nothing else that has ever been made! I think I did that!

I love how the patterns mixed together. These shoes are gaudy, luxurious and extremely Ready to Stare. I will treasure them forever as wearable art. Total bonus, I added a custom inscription (which you can get for free with code READYTOSTARE) so my shoes read “Shoes of Prey x Ready to Stare.”

What do you think of the Shoes of Prey custom design process? I have a friend who designed her wedding shoes through Shoes of Prey which is such a genius idea for wide-width feet brides-to-be!
