Best Wedding Gifts: The Hamilton Beach Digital Air Fryer
Warmer weather brings the unofficial beginning of wedding season. That means it’s time to get shopping for the upcoming nuptials! As a September Bride-to-Be with a July Bridal shower, I have been on the hunt for the to add to my own wedding registry.
Kitchen items usually top the lists of most wedding registry. But Gio and I were realistic about what items would be most useful and relevant to our lifestyle. Gio and I are both extremely busy. Planning for nice sit down meals doesn’t always take priority for us the way it should. A lot of 30-something couples may already have a full kitchen cabinet but lack time to cook. The air fryer is compact enough to not add any kitchen clutter. It also helps save time on those busy nights where cooking isn’t your top priority.
A digital air fryer is one of the best wedding gifts of 2019 because it works for at-home cooks of all skill levels. I am admittedly a novice in the kitchen. I can make my Grandmother’s meatballs, sauce and ravioli recipes but that’s about where my comforts in the kitchen begin and end.
Cooking Made Easy
After partnering with Hamilton Beach to try out their large digital air fryer, I felt like I had added a new tool to my kitchen arsenal. We went with the large 2.5 liter capacity digital air fryer. The directions were short, simple and to-the-point. They tell you how long to cook certain popular items on manual mode.
You can make French fries, chicken, seafood, steak, baked goods, and veggies with ease. There’s also pre-programmed six buttons at the top of the air fryer that you can press to cook your favorites. There’s very little oil and no pre-heating required.

If you know me, you know I am a fry queen. My laptop sticker reads, “Thick thighs and a love for fries.” First up in our air fryer? You guessed it – FRIES! We were able to make about 3/4 of a bag of crinkle cut fries that served our mini dinner party. It took just over ten minutes. There was an audible beep AND boom crispy goodness!
Features of the Digital Air Fryer
One of friends over at the dinner party has an air fryer. Compared to her air fryer, Hamilton Beach digital air fryer did not make much noise. Most of the time it was cooking, we forgot it was even there and could easily carry on conversations. There’s a cool touch handle. It was really simple to pull the handle and take out of the pan. The pan is non-stick making it easy-to-clean.
After our fries, we got ambitious and tried to make pizza fritte. There were very limited recipes online for how to make fried dough in an air fryer. We decided to try it anyways. We tried a few different size fried dough pieces and we couldn’t capture the essence of this Italian classic just right. But we were glad to experiment. We plan on continuing to use our air fryer to make the everyday classics AND to try out new recipes.
