Best Friend Friday: We Love a Good Sale

If you missed the first edition of , I am back today with part two! This #StareStyle feature is designed to show you a range of plus size items on two different bodies with two distinct styles. I recognize not everyone wants their bra to show with every outfit but for those of you that do, you’ve come to the right place!

My best friend Kristen and I both love to shop especially when it’s for a bargain. And while I so value and appreciate high-end items being made in plus size, it’s not always accessible to me as a full-time freelance writer and indie designer. Shopping the sale sections and thrifting has allowed me to try out certain brands to see product quality and fit before making a larger investment in a full-price piece.

Accessibility is something that I think about all the time as a designer. I want to create items that don’t exist already in plus size or exist anywhere for that matter but I also don’t want them to exist completely as show pieces. I won’t create something that’s not wear-able or that’s out of reach for a majority of my customers. Though I can’t afford to do them all the time, sales are one more way that I aim to make Ready to Stare accessible to a variety of budgets.
