I am making my debut as a writer in the summer issue of  with an article focused on my tips for wearing a plus size bikini for the first time! I have previously been featured in the magazine as a blogger and this time, I got to write my own piece.

Although I feel like I am wearing a bikini every opportunity I get, I know that this is still a big challenge for a lot of people. There are more options than ever but that doesn’t mean that society is totally ready to accept it. Just yesterday someone told me “So you didn’t get the memo that being morbidly obese and putting on a bikini doesn’t make you a hero?” But honestly, it really does.

There are still so many folks out there policing fat bodies and what you put on them that wearing a fatkini is a radical statement.
